Manson Fire Department honors volunteers

MANSON - Manson Fire Department (Chelan County Fire District #5) held their awards dinner and ceremony on May 31, at Station 52. After the introduction of Manson Fire Commissioners, Chairman Dana Starkweather, Dan Baker and Fred Weiss (not present), Chief Arnold Baker began presenting the awards.

Awarded 5 year pins were: Beau Alanis, Linda Nunez, Karen Sargeant, Darrick Steele and Dana Vivian; 20 year pin: Adam Rasmussun, 25 year pin: Nick Glenn and 35 year pins went to Kermit McClellan and Chief Arnold Baker.

Chiefs Coins (personnel meeting the 50 percent Drills and 10 percent Calls in 2021) went to Beau Alanis, Raynor Baker, Nick Glenn, Kermit McClellan, Adam Rasmussen, Gunnar Rasmussen, Aaron Richmond, Karen Sargeant, Chris Willoughby, and Chief Arnold Baker.

Recruit of the Year - Excitement in Serving - (New Blood), went to Dan Weakly.

Commissioners award - For Exemplary Service, Duty and Integrity went to Wayne Worzella.

Association Member of the Year went to Karen Sargeant, who also received the Volunteer of the Year Award, for Best Attendance Drills and Calls.

Chief’s Award - for Outstanding Service on a Fire Incident went to Adam Rasmussen, Raynor Baker, and Darrick Steele, for the Red Apple Fire in Wenatchee.

Firefighter of the Year - Most Inspirational Firefighter went to Aaron Richmond.

After the awards were presented the volunteer firefighters held an association meeting, following by their Tuesday evening practice.
