A Note from the Publisher

Dear Community,
 It now has been a year since Owner and Publisher Bill Forhan passed away. Though we had a beautiful memorial service last December, the snow was just too much for very many to travel. My family and I still received many cards, donations, and love from you all. Since it is now close to Thanksgiving, and what would have been our 55th wedding anniversary, I wanted to let you know what great, supportive communities we have. Thank you again for your help in getting me through this past year. Thank you to my great staff and volunteers in Leavenworth, Cashmere, Chelan, and Brewster who continue to really step up to get our monthly Wenatchee Business Journal and our weekly newspapers done. To my correspondent writers and others who stepped up to write local articles to keep us informed about what we are doing in our communities. A big thank you to my church family, St. James Episcopal in Cashmere who have blessed me with their continued support and love.  To the Leavenworth Rotarians who blessed me in so many ways, food delivery, cards, cleaning my driveway and roof during the snowmageddon we had last year. Cleaning my yard full of  leaves and broken tree branches, going to recycling and the dump, multiple times. Help to deliver the newspapers!  My wonderful neighbors who were also there with snowplowing and food. My PEO Chapter JF sisters for the many cards, donations, food, and lots of hugs.  I just cannot name everything and everyone that I have been so blessed with, but you know who you are. My family, staff and I wish you all the best for the upcoming Thanksgiving and holidays.
