Paving bricks installed on new hospital outdoor patio

New hospital opening pushed to Dec. 5

On October 31  the Lake Chelan Health Board and staff postponed their move into the new hospital.  Delays with the kitchen pushed their final Department of Health, L&I, and City inspection to close to their original target move date of Nov. 7. They could not guarantee that inspections would occur on schedule as well as getting the final approval.  Their backup move date was Dec. 5, which is now their new opening date.
Their priority is their patients and community and by pushing the date allows them to get through the last inspections and any unforeseen scheduling issues with inspectors.
While disappointing news for their staff and community members, they felt this will give them additional time not only to complete inspections (and any issues arising from those regulatory visits) but continue to practice within their new spaces and equipment and put finishing touches on their new space.  They want to provide the smoothest transition to the new facility with plenty of communication time to open at 6 a.m. on Dec. 5.
For hospital services continue to go to the Highland campus at 503 E. Highland Ave., Chelan.
