Thrive Chelan Valley
CHELAN - Thrive Chelan Valley exists to ensure all Lake Chelan Valley youth have everything they need to reach their full potential. As they continue living out their mission, the Thrive Board of Directors excitedly welcomes Ruth Escalera to join their ranks, effective immediately.
“We are delighted to welcome Ruth to our team,” stated Cindy Knight, Board President of Thrive Chelan Valley. “Ruth’s love for our community is evident and her heart for serving kids in our valley is contagious. We look forward to collaborating with Ruth as we strategize ways to best meet the needs of our valley’s youth.”
Escalera brings many strengths to Thrive, including a vast background in community outreach, dynamic leadership skills, and a deep-rooted passion for serving those in need. Born and raised in the Lake Chelan Valley, Escalera was inspired by local nonprofits, support services and advocacy at an early age.
“I am honored to join forces with Thrive Chelan Valley. It is exciting to collaborate with people who share the same vision for our community,” says Escalera. “I have found value in providing a voice for individuals and groups who are underrepresented in our valley. It is very rewarding to continue supporting the community that has supported me.”
In addition to joining Thrive Chelan Valley’s Board of Directors, Escalera also serves on the Lake Chelan Food Bank Board and the Executive Committee of Chelan Valley Manger Mall. Escalera is a shining example of what it means to serve one’s community well. Given her history and talents, she will undoubtedly be an asset to Thrive Chelan Valley and the greater community as she steps into her new role.
