Second work party for Mark Tesch and Michelle Jersome to be held this Sat., Sept. 21

Posted

TWISP - A second work party for former long-time Chelan area residents, Mark Tesch and Michelle Jerome, who lost their home in a August 6 fire, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21. Their homesite is at 203 Methow Street in Twisp and Google get you there accurately.
“The last amazing turnout was incredibly helpful,’’ Jerome said.
Activities will center around site and materials preparation and include:  nail pulling and lumber stacking, terracing the bank, building of a shed and form building for foundation pour.
As of this week, all the large debris has been removed and there is a big, gaping hole, and they are hoping to get the footings in for the foundation before the snow flies. The shed is to store the larger equipment over the winter and will become the garden shed. They are hoping to terrace the hill before winter to avoid erosion in the spring melt.
The site no longer feels as toxic, and gloves and sturdy footwear are important.
For more information call Jerome at 509-679-4619.
