Stage 1 burn ban now in effect

Burn ban area: Okanogan, Chelan, Kittitas, Douglas counties
Burn ban started: Noon Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022
Burn ban ends: Until further notice. (Restrictions will reassessed on Wednesday, Nov. 16 or Thursday, Nov. 17.)
Ban condition: Stage 1 – no outdoor burning, agricultural burning, or uncertified wood stove use, except where stove is the only source of heat.
Background: Air stagnation in Central Washington is producing high levels of particulate pollution.
