Buddy Wayne Wason, 77, passed away surrounded by family on March 25, 2018. He was born April 24, 1940 to Mildred and Robert Wason in Lodgegrass, Montana. He was a graduate of Chelan High School where he met the love of his life, Maria.

Buddy enrolled in the Coast Guard where he was trained as an electrician. Upon his departure from the Coast Guard he worked for IBEW.

His hobbies mainly centered around skills and interests he developed as a Boy Scout and a Scout leader; he enjoyed wood working, being in his mother-in-laws orchard, and bowling. Buddy was a member of the North Cascades Sportsman Club, the Boy Scouts, and St. Francis Catholic Church in Chelan.

However, Buddy’s greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren.

He always wore his “World’s Greatest Grandpa’’ shirts they made him with such pride.

Grandpa Buddy always made sure his wood shop was open to his grand kids for any and all their projects and creations.

He is survived by his wife, Maria and their children, Heidi and Eric Gocke, Dina and Martin Wason, and Victoria and Todd Bennett, as well as his grand kids, Chelsea, Courtney, Kevin, Gunnar and Missy.

He is preceded in death by parents, is two brothers, and his sister.

Grave side services will be held at Fraternal Cemetery in Chelan on April 7, 2018, at 11 a.m. A reception will held at the Lake Chelan Eagles from Noon to 3 p.m.
