Carol Lousie Sallas (Postelwait), 61, of Manson, Washington, formerly of Chelan, Washington, passed away suddenly, on January 2, 2023 at Lake Chelan Health Hospital.
Carol, the last of six children, was born in Wenatchee, Washington, to Colleen and Charlie Postelwait on December 3, 1961. She attended Manson High School and first became a mother at the age of 21. She worked many jobs (on occasion, multiple ones at the same time) to support her family as a single parent. She was a devoted mother of six and a loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, like her father before her, and watching her grandbabies grow. Carol was kind to everyone that she met and treated everyone like family. She was called "Aunt Carol" or "Tia" by many that were not related to her by blood, but by the kindness that she shared with them. Her personality, smile, and her hugs will be missed by her family, friends, and all that knew her.
Carol was preceded in death by her mother and father, Colleen and Charlie; and her brother, Craig.
She is survived by her two daughters and four sons, her two sisters and two brothers, as well as her 10 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many, many friends.
Services will be held at Precht Rose Chapel, 332 E. Woodin Ave. in Chelan on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 11 a.m. with her family officiating the service. Flowers and condolences may be offered there.
