Elwyn Doyle Morrison

Posted

Elwyn Doyle Morrison passed away peacefully in his home in Bonney Lake, Washington on Monday, May 24 2021; a determined fighter to the end.
He left behind his wife Michelle, daughter Sandra, son-in-law Jay, son Leonard, daughter-in-law Katherine, and his five grandchildren.
Known by many as “Muggs” or “Al”, Elwyn was born to Vera DeKay Morrison and Leonard Morrison in Chelan County, Washington on January 31, 1939. He spent his childhood and young adult years in Manson, Washington alongside his brothers Robert, Willard, Eugene, Kenneth and sister, Karen, and later their many kids whom he called nieces and nephews. There he met his wife of 55 years, Michelle Russell Morrison, whom he married on October 16, 1965.
Following his many years in Manson, Elwyn and his wife moved to Kirkland, Washington, where Elwyn began working as a Journeyman Power Lineman. He amassed an impressive 55 years in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union, belonging to both Puget Sound Energy and Potelco Inc. In October of 2013, Elwyn and his wife moved to Bonney Lake, Washington.
His most frequent visitors consisted of his grandchildren: Zachary Lewandowski, Hannah Lewandowski, Nicholas Lewandowski, Liam Morrison, and Logan Morrison.
Elwyn spent his days devoted to his trade, his family, tending to his garden, trying  to catch big fish, coaching a variety of sports, harassing countless umpires, and singing along to various Blake Shelton tunes. Elwyn will be dearly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, IBEW brothers and sisters, and so many more friends and family members.
Due to the fact that Elwyn spent his most fond years in Kirkland at the Lee  Johnson baseball field and Everest field, cheering from the stands and coaching on the field, we would like to construct two park benches to continue his remembrance for years to come. If you would like to make a donation, please venmo Michelle Morrison @NanaMorrison. We will also be celebrating Elwyn’s life on July 10 and will be taking donations there as well.
