Jo Burns, 91, of Manson, Washington passed away on October 5, 2022.
Jo was born the youngest of four children to Maggie Yagel Clark and Benjamin Argyle Clark on February 27,1931 in Hamilton, Missouri.  She is survived by her sister, Margaret Jessen of Dallas, Texas as well as nephews, nieces and cousins in Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Florida, and Washington states.
Jo and her husband, Sidney G. Burns, moved to Manson in 1949. She is survived by four of her five children:  daughter Linda Wilson of Manson (daughter Ashley, her husband Chris and son Cole Berry); Sid Burns of Domke Lake (daughters Autumn and Sierra); Maggi Hoover and her husband Lee of Edmonds, WA (son Mason and his wife Adrienne); and daughter Barbara Gutmann of Marysville, WA (sons Derek Haynes and Brent Gutmann).  In 1996, Jo’s youngest child and son, Michael, passed away.
Jo worked for many years as a server in area restaurants as well as in several Lake Chelan Valley apple sheds.  When she was in her 40’s she graduated from the Wenatchee School of Beauty and became a hair stylist.
Jo was always full of ideas.  She believed that she could sew or make anything.  She sewed meticulously as well as designing many of her daughters’ clothes when they were young. In her later years, she belonged to the Manson Quilt Guild.
In addition to quilting, Jo also enjoyed reading, listening to traditional country music, eating great food, drinking a good cup of tea, and watching the Fox News Channel and Newsmax-TV.  She was a staunch Constitutional Conservative.
As a member of the North Shore Bible Church, her service will be held there at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022, 123 Wapato Point Parkway, Manson, WA 98831
