Viola B. Kantat, age 102, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022, at home with family by her side. Viola was born May 13, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan, to John and Bertha Crossley. Viola had a younger sister, Arline Rogers, and a younger brother, Wes Crossley.
Viola met her husband, Adam Kantat, in Detroit. They moved to Southern California in the early 1940’s. Viola was a homemaker, raising her four children. Viola’s husband, Adam, died in 1966 at age 45.   After retiring in 1989, she moved to Lake Chelan with her two sons, choosing to be closer to her brother, Wes, and his wife, Marcella. Viola helped Wes and Marcella with their business, The Parkway Motel.
Viola is survived by her children: daughter, Judy Russell of Wenatchee, Washington,  grandson, Robert Russell of Wenatchee, Washington; daughter, Joyce Allen, of Orland, California, grandson, Gary Allen (Liz) of Orland, California, great-grandson, Logan; and son, John Kantat of Chelan, Washington. Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Kantat; and son, Alan Kantat.
