CHELAN - With the recent snow, I am sure folks are getting excited for the upcoming ski season. The good news is, our excellent grooming will continue as usual and folks can enjoy Echo Ridge. The Covid pandemic will cause this season to look a little different than past seasons:
• There will not be an annual November work party.
• There will not be an annual membership drive at Local Myth Pizza.
• Passes and memberships can be purchased on the website at LakeChelanNordic.org.
• The yurt will not be open for folks to congregate in and therefore no Soup Sundays.
• There will not be a Loppet this year.
The Lake Chelan Nordic Club board and members will continue to meet monthly, but virtually, instead of in person at Stormy Mountain Brewing.
The board will have some changes this year. Bruce Willet and Sheri Krupla are stepping down as board members. Thanks to both of them for their many years of serving on the board. I will also be stepping down as president, but will stay on as a board member to help the new president’s transition.
Teri Jackson and Dave Hartwig have committed to continuing on as a board member for another season; therefore, there is one board position and the president position open.
