CHELAN - The No-See-Um Roundabout project - which was formally given the green light last Tuesday, March 14 - was officially awarded to Strider Construction by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) on March 16.

“At this point, we do not have a definitive start date,” WSDOT Project Engineer Kevin Waligorski said in reference to the Roundabout project, “we are in discussions with the contractor and I anticipate we will begin construction sometime mid to late April.”

Waligorski said there will be two open houses next week in order to “present information and answer questions on the following projects in the Chelan vicinity: No See Um Road Intersection, SR150 Paving Project and SR971 Rock Slide and Stabilization work.”

The first open house is on Tuesday, March 28 at the Chelan Council Chambers from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and the second is on Wednesday, March 29 at the Manson Community Center from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
