chelan county public works Road Work - week of August 23

Slide Ridge Retrofit on hold because of 25 Mile Fire

Posted

Slide Ridge Retrofit: This project is temporarily shut down because of the ongoing Twenty-Five Mile Fire. People who do not live on South Lakeshore Road are asked to avoid the area so emergency responders and equipment can get through. South Lakeshore Road is closed to the public at Slide Ridge. Roads closed due to wildfires are on our website at  www.co.chelan.wa.us/public-works/pages/traffic-alerts-and-restrictions.
West Cashmere Bridge Replacement Project: Goodwin Road in Cashmere is open to only local traffic. The contractor will be cleaning up after removing the final concrete portion of the old bridge on the Goodwin Road side of the project. The contractor also is expected to continue working on the Goodwin Road side, building the new road there. Girders are expected to be placed in early September. As we get closer to that work, more details will be posted to the project’s webpage.
Maintenance plans may change with weather conditions or equipment difficulties. Visit the Public Works website, where the weekly road maintenance information is updated as needed.
District 4 (Entiat)
Crews will be brushing and doing shoulder work throughout the Entiat Valley.
 District 5 (Chelan)
Crews will be doing a dig-out on Lakeshore Drive in Manson. Plan for one-lane, flagger-controlled traffic in the work zone and a potential detour. Crews also will be replacing tile on sidewalks in the Manson downtown, brushing in the Manson area and ditching in Manson as time allows.
