Need help? Get help at the ‘resource drive on June 27

Chelan PUD and community partners are hosting drive-thru event

WENATCHEE – Chelan County families can get help with everything from paying their utility bill to finding fun things to do with kids during summer break at a “Resource Drive” on Saturday, June 27. The drive-thru event is noon to 2:30 p.m. in the Town Toyota Center parking lot, 1300 Walla Walla Ave., Wenatchee

Chelan County PUD is teaming up with community partners for the first-time event. Free resources will range from tips for customers to help save energy and lower power bills to a take-home box of fun activities to help children fill summer vacation hours. Chelan PUD customers will receive a “care package,” from their hometown utility.
PUD staff will offer energy-saving tips, help for customers on paying their utility bills, a list of “hot spots” offering free internet access and help applying for a free parking pass to use at Daroga, Lincoln Rock and Wenatchee Confluence state parks. You also can learn about downloading our new app, Current, to be safe on the water by keeping Lake Chelan level and Columbia River conditions at your fingertips.
To keep everyone safe, visitors will drive past a series of stations in the parking lot, staffed by volunteers in protective gear. Those attending are asked to wear masks and stay in their car. Masks will be available for those needing one. Chelan-Douglas Health District has endorsed the format as a preview for events in the future.
Radio station La Nueva is a co-sponsor and other community organizations taking part include: Wenatchee School District, Molina Health Care, Numerica Credit Union and Confluence Health.
