Posted

CHELAN - The Chelan FFA Chapter is one of the nine charter members of the Washington State FFA Association and have been around since the spring of 1930.
The Chelan FFA lives the FFA Mission Statement—to develop student potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agriculture education.

Throughout the year the members of the Chelan FFA raise animals and participate in fairs, apple judging contests and much more. In January they hosted the annual Lake Chelan Horticulture Day at the high school and they are gearing up for their annual Plant Sale this spring.
Each day is a different dress up day. Wednesday will be Camo Day, Thursday Farm Animal Day, Friday America Day and Saturday PJ’s - It’s the weekend.
On Feb. 26 they will attend District Leadership Camp - a chance to meet students from their district, and partake in workshops.
March 11 will be Sunny OK Cattle Judging. They will try their hand at evaluating animals used for different purposes, with  chance to win a buckle.
