Manson FFA celebrates FFA Week - Feb. 19-26, 2022

MANSON - Kevin Amsden has been the Manson FFA advisor for 40 years and the Manson FFA Chapter was started in 1955.
Kevin Amsden was recognized at the 2021 Washington Association of Agricultural Educators conference held in Blain. Amsden was nominated for the Outstanding Teacher Mentor, was the state winner, and was also the western region winner.
They are 126 members strong for the 2021-2022 school year.
Who can join FFA? All students that take a Ag shop class are eligible for FFA.
Chapter officers are: President: Katie Gosvener, Vice President: Lauren Soliday, Secretary: Paige Schoenwald, Treasurer: Raven Pope, Sentinel: Finnegan Smith and Reporter: Natalie Solorio.
Activities/events planned for the Manson FFA Chapter during FFA week are:  Tuesday: Green Hand Initiation day; Wednesday: Manson FFA T-shirts; Thursday: Root beer Floats and Friday: BBQ in Shop room.
Manson FFA participates  in  many activities and events throughout the year including the  Chelan County Fair, Cattle Judging, District Apple Judging, Livestock Judging, Ag Expo Field Trip, Job interview and 1st year CDE.
