Scholarships for healthcare field available from LCH&W

CHELAN - Scholarships for college students majoring in a healthcare field are now available for the 2019-2020 academic year.  The Harold and Edna Bragg Healthcare Education Scholarships are administered by the Lake Chelan Health and Wellness Foundation.  Deadline for applications is April 5.  The scholarships are funded from a bequest made in 1995 to the Foundation for healthcare education.  In the past, scholarships have ranged from $500 to $3,000 a year, depending on monies available, number of applicants, and if applicants are attending school full-time or part-time.

 Applications are also available for continuing education for healthcare professionals who live or work in the Chelan Valley.  Scholarships are given throughout the year when funds are available.  These are for workshops, seminars, and classes for those who already are in a healthcare field or plan to return to healthcare.

In addition, a $500 scholarship for a person enrolled in a nursing degree program is also available. This scholarship is in memory of Annabel Fletcher, who was a nurse in the Chelan Valley for many years.
