Thrive Chelan Valley partners with local schools to support weekend meals

Posted

CHELAN - In partnership with Lake Chelan and Manson School Districts, Thrive will be offering weekend food support (via our established Food2Schools program) for school-aged (PK-12 Grade) students during the temporary school closures.
Schools will be providing breakfast and lunch support for students during the closure period. School officials will release more information this week to students and their families regarding those supports.
Our Cares Team has developed a plan to provide drive-through weekend food support to families of registered Chelan and Manson students on Friday evenings, starting this Friday, March 20.
We will have an outdoor, drive-through location set up in both Chelan and Manson, on school premises. We are thankful to both school superintendents for their support and partnership with this endeavor. We will release a flyer with more details soon.
Thank you for your time and consideration of supporting efforts to meet basic needs (i.e. food, hygiene items, etc) of our students while they maneuver through new territory.
We are thankful for our generous community that is looking for ways to help during this unprecedented time. If you’d like to provide funding to help us purchase food and hygiene items to disburse to students, we would welcome your support.
