Victor Leroy Brown


Victor Leroy Brown, age 78, passed away on December 28, 2019 at his home in Chelan, WA. Victor was born in Salt Lake, UT on Jan. 20, 1941 and is the son of Harold Franklin Brown  and Yvonne Mabel Taufer. Victor was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and being reunited with loved ones after death.

Victor spent his youth in Spokane, WA and served a mission for his church in New York state. He then married Jerine Ree Simard in Manti, UT. Victor and Jerine had one daughter. After Jerine’s death, Victor married Charlyne Richins in Seattle, WA. They had one son that Victor raised after Charlyne’s passing in 1999.

Victor worked for the United States Postal Service for many years, followed by a career in fluid technology. He had a zest for life and loved to joke and laugh and sing very loudly in his beautiful bass voice. He survived liver failure and a liver transplant after battling Alpha One in his later years and was actively involved in the Alpha One Foundation. He was accepting of all and was devoted to raising his son Wesley.

Victor is survived by his children Celeste Hankins and Wesley Brown, grandchildren Phillip, Graham, Samuel and Zoe Thomas, and two great-grandchildren.

Victor was preceded in death by his wives Jerine and Charlyne, his parents, brothers George, Harold and Timothy Brown, and sister Susan Binnall.

A family graveside service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 4 2019 at 9 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, N 211 Government Way, Spokane, Washington.
