MANSON — The Manson Chamber of Commerce and Wapato Point Resort have joined forces to host two exciting pickleball tournaments in 2024 at the resort's new courts. The events, dubbed "Shake & Bake on The Lake," aim to attract players of all ages and skill levels to the Lake Chelan Valley.

The first tournament, scheduled for May 3rd-5, will feature an All Round Robin format with playoffs. Players can compete in Doubles Open and Singles Open events for a chance to win prize money. Registration is now open and can be accessed through pickleballbrackets.com or the Manson Chamber of Commerce website at mansonchamber.com. A second tournament is planned for October 4th-6.

Phil Sifferman, President of Wapato Point Division 2 Association, expressed enthusiasm for the new pickleball courts, stating, "We've captured the vision and fun pickleball has to offer our guests and owners with dedicated courts. We hope people will come to Wapato Point Resort and see our commitment to creating a world-class place for people to come stay and play, while enjoying all that the Lake Chelan Valley has to offer."

The events are made possible through the efforts of the Manson Chamber of Commerce, with premier support from the newly developed Yacinde at Wapato Point and Winegirl Wines. During the tournaments, attendees can also enjoy a beer and wine garden overlooking the courts.

Bill Swayne, President of the Manson Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the importance of these events, saying, "The goal of the chamber is to support our business and local community through a collaborative effort in putting together events like the Shake & Bake on The Lake Pickleball Tournament."

Proceeds from the tournaments will support chamber activities and scholarship programs. Interested players can register at www.picklballbrackets.com by searching for "Wapato." For more information, contact Jeff Conwell at 509-433-8300.
