50th wedding anniversary celebrated

Ronald Wilde and Jacquie Mathers were married on March 2, 1968 in Seattle and celebrated their 50th wedding Anniversary on August 23, 2018 in Amarillo Texas. Guests included family and friends.

Her parents were Jack and Violet Mathers of Chelan. His parents  were Ellis and Ellen Wilde. Their children are: daughter Julie, (husband Rich Alverdes) and three grandchildren, Dixon, Hudson and Emily; son Scott Wilde, (wife Jennifer) and three  grandchildren.

The couple resided in Mountlake Terrace, Wash. and Amarillo, Texas. Ron is retired from Boeing and they enjoy music, and Jacquie plays piano and clarinet.

Her grandparents, Eugene and Coloma Mathers, owned the Lakeview Hotel for many years where the family all gathered and grew up.  They had three sons raised in Chelan, Bill, Jack and Dale. Jack and Violet Mathers lived in the Chelan area for many years and all of their children at some time had been enrolled in Chelan schools, Launa, Arita, Jacquie, Kay, Gene and Donna. Jack and Violet Mathers also owned the Green Springs Trailer Court and a small orchard. Jacquie and Kay graduated from Chelan High school in 1966. Generations of the Mathers family members are buried in the Chelan cemetery.
