Funds received for first phase of Gateway Park Project

HDCA Director Jessie Simmons (right) and HDCA President Linda Van Lunsen show off a $30,000 check awarded to the Woodin Avenue Landing Park  project from the Names Family Foundation. Names family members Beth Dobbs, Monica Names-King and Erin Shagren own a home in Chelan. After hearing about the project and the goal to raise the final $30,000 needed for the project, they recommended the grant be awarded. Construction will begin in September. Phase  two is the area between B.C. MacDonald’s and Campbell’s Resort Park Room.
