Goats drop two against Cashmere

Posted

CHELAN - For some reason, Cashmere has Chelan’s number when it comes to the diamond.

After beating the Goats on Saturday by a combined score of 19-1 in two games, the Bulldogs have pushed their winning streak over Chelan to an astounding 21 games, dating back to 2009.

Overall, the Goats struggled to piece anything together offensively with only a handful of hits in both games.

This has been a theme for Chelan so far this season as they appear to be having a difficult time shaking off the winter rust early in the season. For example, there were multiple occasions on Saturday when the Goats would get a baserunner, but then couldn’t capitalize.

Although as the season wears on and the players get back into a rhythm, expect the Goats to square up more balls and produce more runs.
