Lady Goats split double-header on the rLady Goats split double-header on the roadoad

OMAK - The Chelan Lady Goats split adouble header with Omak on Tuesday, April 30th at Omak's home field.

In the first game the Lady Goats lost to Omak 12 to 8 giving up 6 unearned runs on errors.  Sierra Shively led the Lady Goats with 4 for 5 at the plate and 3 stolen bases.  Taylor Boykin, Jade Hatherell, and Leanna Garfoot contributed 2 hits each and Lexie Gleasman added a 2 run homerun.
Charla Goodman was on the mound for Chelan.

In the second game the Lady Goat's bats came alive with 23 hits and scoring 13 runs in the top of the 6th inning giving Chelan a 23 to 2 win.

Leanna Garfoot did it all for the Lady Goats in this game, pitching the entire game giving up only 3 hits, 2 runs (only 1 run was earned), walking 1 and striking out 4.  She also went 5 for 5 at the plate with 4 RBIs. 

Lexie Gleasman was 4 for 5, Nayeli Zavala had an in the park homerun and Charla Goodman and Taylor Boykin each had 3 hits.

Lady Goats drop last league game 12-1

CHELAN - The Chelan Lady Goats lost their last league game to Okanogan 12 to 1 in 7 innings on Friday, May 3rd.

Okanogan pitcher V. Bauer held the Lady Goat batters to 4 hits while striking out 6 and walking 2.

The game was a 5 to 1 contest until the top of the 6th inning when Okanogan scored 4 runs and added 3 more in their top of the 7th.   The Lady Goats were out hit 17 to 4.

Taylor Boykin had an RBI double and Sierra Shively, Lexie Gleasman and Nayeli Zavala had 1 hit each.

The next game for the Lady Goats will be against Cashmere, Saturday, May 11th at 1:00pm in the District Tournament being held at Cascade’s home field in Dryden.
