Deadline to file for Manson Community Council seats is Dec. 1

MANSON - The next Manson Community Council meeting is changed to Dec. 11, 2018, and we encourage you to attend the meeting at the Manson Park Office on Pedoi Street at 6 p.m.   If you have any questions, feel free to contact any council member:  Kathy Blum, Kathy Miller, Jorge Valencia, Sarah Cushing and Chris Willoughby.

The Manson Community Council currently has two at-large positions open for 2019.  To apply, you must be a resident of Manson and a registered voter within the Manson School District.  Electoral Application for Community Council Positions is available at Allisons of Manson, the Lake Chelan Reclamation District and online at MansonCommunityCouncil.com.  At least 10 signatures from registered voters within the district are required.  

The top two vote getters will be the council members for the three-year duration.  Applications can be returned to Allisons, the Reclamation District, or sent to the Manson Post Office, Manson Community Council, General Delivery.

Deadline for returning the completed form is December 1, 2018.

If there are more than two candidates, there will be an election at the Manson Parks Office on Pedoi Street in Manson between noon and 7 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2018.  No write-in votes will be considered or counted.

If elected, the term of office will be effective as of Jan. 1, 2019, and run for three years.  Election of officers will be held at the Jan. 15, 2019, meeting.
