MANSON – School District Superintendent Matt Charlton, along with Chelan County Sheriff Sergeant Chris Foreman are opening up the doors to community members for a roundtable style open discussion on safety within the schools on Tuesday, April 10 in the high school cafeteria.
Dinner will be provided for those in attendance, and will begin to be served at 6:00 p.m., followed by a brief presentation and discussions starting at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of this meeting, explained Charlton, is to hear any concerns, suggestions or comments from parents and community members. The discussions will cover a range of topics depending on concerns expressed, including any facility/building, operations or extreme safety concerns such as an active shooter scenario and prevention.
Following the meeting, suggestions and concerns will be shared with members of the Manson Schools Safety Committee to begin exploring ideas and solutions on how to best provide the utmost safety of the students throughout the district.
Childcare will be available during the dinner and meeting.
