New date for 2019 Arts Festival announces the Lake Chelan Arts Council

Chelan -The Lake Chelan Arts Council announces that their largest  fundraising event, the Lake Chelan Arts Festival, will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 22  and 23, moving the annual Festival from its usual date in August.

Moving to June increases the chance for fair weather so exhibitors can participate in a successful event and Festival goers can enjoy all the Festival has to offer: beautiful artwork,  live music, good food and family fun, surrounded by the natural beauty of Chelan, Wash. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 22 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 23.

Exhibitor applications for this juried show are being accepted thru March 31, 2019. A prospectus and application can be found at www.artinchelan.com .

In addition, the Lake Chelan Arts Council holds a Silent Auction of donated works of art starting on May 20, a month before the Arts Festival. The donated artwork is put on exhibit at the Lake Chelan Library on May 20 and is then moved to the Arts Festival, for continued bidding  June 22  and 23. Winning bids will be announced at 4 p.m. on the 23rd. Donated art is being accepted thru May 13. The Lake Chelan Arts Council was founded in 1985 to promote, fund and support the visual and performing arts in and around Chelan, WA. The Arts Council awards two Visual Arts  Scholarships and is the leader in developing and maintaining, with the ongoing support of the  City of Chelan and the Chamber of Commerce, the Lake Chelan Outdoor Gallery as well as  sponsoring art classes in cooperation with Main Street Gallery.
