Two-vehicle accident near Orondo

ORONDO - Orondo Fire and LCCH EMS responded to the report of a two-vehicle accident just before noon on US97 four miles north of Orondo.

On arrival firefighters found a two vehicles heavily damaged blocking both lanes of traffic with two injured people. One occupant was trapped in their vehicle requiring extrication with the Jaws of Life rescue tools.

Two patients were treated at the scene with one severely injured driver being transported to Central Washington Hospital for further treatment.
