Valley Winds blows in holiday spirit

CHELAN – The Valley Winds Community Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Stephen Burdick and Jonathan McBride, performed a variety of melodic pieces during the Holiday Concert, Thursday, Nov. 30 at Chelan High School’s Performing Arts Center.
The holiday concert included a collection of eight melodies, including With Quiet Courage by Larry Daehn, Valdres March by Johannes Hannsen arranged by Loras Schissel, and Selections from La La Land arranged by Michael Brown, and was performed through 16 different wind instruments.
Members of the Wind Ensemble include high school and college students, as well as various professionals and retirees, coming together twice a week for practice with spring and winter performances.
