Wildfire Town Hall meeting coming to Chelan in early 2019

CHELAN – Chelan Mayor Mike Cooney has announced that a Town Hall meeting will be planned for the early months of 2019.

The topic of this Town Hall meeting will be wildfire.

At the meeting, different departments will come together and talk to the community. Some of them include: Cascadia Conservation, Manson and Chelan Fire Departments, and the Sheriff’s Department.

“The idea will be to come up with solid things that the community can do … we will take a lead and have a discussion there as far as what we can do ahead of time, instead of waiting,” said Cooney.
