Ruth O. Rel
East Wenatchee, Wash.
Born on July 15, 1925, Ruth was the only child between Charles and Pearl Sines, who each had three children from previous marriages. She was born and raised in Chelan, graduating from Chelan High School in 1943. The following year she married Manuel “Mike” Rel in Chelan. They resided in Chelan for the next 19 years before moving, with their three children (Diane, Marshall & Michael) to East Wenatchee, where Manuel was a Deputy Sherriff for Douglas County and Ruth worked in the packing sheds both in Chelan and Wenatchee.
Ruth is survived by two children, Diane (Pete) Harrison and Michael (Tammy) Rel all of East Wenatchee; a daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Rel of Issaquah. She also has 6 grandchildren; Lynda Harrison (Joey Riordan), Amber (Chris) Rel-Daves, Michael Rel, Jr., Zachariah (Karla) Rel, Laura Rel, Nora Rel; and 9 great-grandchildren; Thomas & Kara Pinard, Christian & Kyler, Maverick & Stella, Gabriel, Mykkah & Nehemiah. She was preceded in death by her husband Manuel (1984), and son Marshall Rel of Issaquah (2006).
We extend heartfelt love and gratitude for Ruth’s friend Evelyn Gray. Her care and love for Ruth, and the entire family, is immeasurable.
There will be a Memorial Service at Chapel of the Valley; 302 9th Street, Wenatchee, on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. Inurnment will be at Chelan Fraternal Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are by Chapel of the Valley, Wenatchee.
