Echo Ridge Nordic Ski area opens

Posted

Chelan - Love to ski or snowshoe? You’re in luck! The Echo Ridge Nordic Ski Area is open with more than 30 miles of trail available. Ski area personnel established a good snow base earlier this week and skiers are reporting good corduroy conditions on many trails.
“We are hoping for another record year at Echo Ridge” said Paul Willard, Recreation Manager for the Chelan Ranger District. “The great trails, excellent grooming by the Lake Chelan Nordic Ski Club, and ridge top views bring increasing numbers of skiers each season.”
Passes are required for both ski and snowshoe trail use at Echo Ridge. Day passes are available on-site for $10 per adult, there is no charge for skiers or snowshoers age 17 and under. Season passes cost $70 and can be purchased at the Chelan Ranger District office. The Echo Ridge Nordic Ski Area is located 10 miles north of the city of Chelan and is maintained through cooperative efforts between the U.S. Forest Service and the Lake Chelan Nordic Ski Club.
For current grooming information check www.lakecheleannordic.org or contact the Chelan Ranger District at (509) 682-4900.  The Chelan Ranger District is located at 428 West Woodin Avenue in Chelan with office hours of 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
