Candidate filing week: May 15-19

WENATCHEE - In-Person: Candidate filing  begins in-person, or by messenger, Monday, May 15, at 9 a.m . and closes Friday, May 19  at  5 p.m . in the Chelan County Auditor's Office, located in the Chelan County Courthouse, 350 Orondo Ave, Level 3, in Wenatchee.
Positions up for election are: Port Commissioner Districts #2 and #3, Entiat School District Districts #3, #4, #5, Lake Chelan School Districts #2, #4, #5, Manson School Districts #1, #2, #3, Stehekin School Districts #1, #2, #3, City of Chelan: mayor (Mayor Bob Goedde), Council #1 (John R. Olson), Council #3 (Chris Baker), Council #5 (Mark L. Ericks); City of Entiat: mayor (Michael A. Buckingham), Council #4 (Robert B. Hargadon), Council #5 (Clay Brandenburg); Chelan County Fire District #5 (Manson): Commissioner #1 (Dana Starkweather); Chelan County Fire District #7 (Chelan Fire & Rescue):  Commissioner #1 (Phil Moller); Hospital District #2 (Chelan): Commissioner #1 (Mary Signorelli), Commissioner #5 (Doug Gibson).
Chelan Cemetery District #4, Bear Mountain Water, Chelan Falls Water District, Lake Chelan Sewer District, and Manson Parks and Recreation also have positions up for election.
Requirements to file online:
• Be registered to vote in the district for which you are filing
• Pay with Visa, Mastercard, or American Express
• Provide a valid email address
•  Submit by 4 p.m. on Friday
Filing for Office Information (RCW 29A.24.070)
At the time of filing, a candidate’s voter registration data will be checked. If there are discrepancies, corrections to the voter registration file must be completed before the Declaration of Candidacy can be accepted. When filing for an office, candidates are not permitted to use a nickname that denotes present or past occupation, military rank, the candidate’s position on issues or political affiliation, or use a nickname designed to intentionally mislead voters. A candidate’s last name must match the last name under which he/she is registered to vote.
Your filing fee (if any) must be paid before the filing deadline. Candidate filing fees are non-refundable. It is your responsibility to submit your filing correctly. Read all instructions carefully.

Recount Application
This form should be included with each application for recount submitted to Chelan County Elections. If you have any questions on how to complete this form please contact Election Office at 509-667-6808. An application for a recount must be filed within two business days after certification of the election results. Applications for recount must be filed with the officer with whom filings are made for the jurisdiction. For those offices  filing with Chelan County an application for recount must be submitted to Chelan County Elections, 350 Orondo Ave, Level 3, Wenatchee, WA 98801. Detailed requirements for recounts can be found in RCW 29A.64.
