Chelan County Sheriff seeks hit and run suspect.

WENATCHEE – The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the whereabouts of a suspect vehicle and driver involved in a hit-and-run fatality.

Sheriff Mike Morrison reports that on August 10, a 70-year-old male was found deceased in the roadway of Malaga Alcoa Highway near Stemilt Creek Road. Deputies from the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office and Wenatchee Police Department officers responded to the area.

During the preliminary investigation, a witness stated that the deceased had been struck by a vehicle. After the vehicle struck the victim, the driver fled the area northbound towards Wenatchee. The witness described the suspect vehicle as possibly a 2010 or newer blue Honda.  Damage to the vehicle may be on the passenger side.

The victim’s identity is being withheld notification of next of kin.
