Lake Chelan Historical Society to host annual meeting with Author Ana Maria Spagna

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Historical Society will hold its 2024 Annual Meeting on Thursday, April 18, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Ruby Theatre. The event will feature a special guest speaker, Ana Maria Spagna of Stehekin, who will discuss her book, "PUSHED: Miners, a Merchant and (Maybe) a Massacre."

Spagna's book delves into the mysterious story of a reputed massacre that occurred near Chelan Falls in 1875. She sheds light on this fascinating piece of local history through her research and storytelling.

Following the meeting, attendees are invited to join the Historical Society for refreshments at the Chelan Museum. Both the meeting and the refreshments are free and open to the public, providing an excellent opportunity for community members to engage with local history and connect with one another.
