One injured in two vehicle accident

CHELAN - Wyatt J. Dietrich, 22, of Orondo, was injured, when he attempted to pass a semi-truck, who was stopped to make a left turn off of U.S. Highway 97 near milemarker 235, just  south of the Beebe Bridge on Sept. 15. Dietrich collided with the semi’s drivers side fuel tank which caused a fuel spill. Both vehicles were southbound and came to rest blocking the southbound lane. Dietrich was transported by EMS to Lake Chelan Health Hospital, and has been charged with improper passing. Lorren C. McGee, 41, of East Wenatchee, the driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
