Nov. 11 - Veterans Day Parade

CHELAN - The Veterans Day Parade, organized by VFW Post #6853, will be held on Saturday, Nov.11, at 11 a.m. (11th hour/11th Day/11th Month). Bring your flag, be proud, and show your patriotism. Come celebrate with the Veterans at Chelan’s annual Veterans Day Parade along Woodin Avenue. The parade will line up on Woodin Avenue by the U.S. Forest Service headquarters, come across the old bridge, go up Woodin Avenue, turn right onto Emerson Street and end at Riverwalk Park.

Immediately after the parade Chelan District 7 Firefighters Association and Chelan Firefighters Local 4816 will prepare and serve free hamburgers and hotdogs to all Veterans, currently serving Military Personnel, and their immediate families at the Chelan Fire Station, 232 E. Wapato Avenue. The public is also invited. A $5 donation is suggested, but not required. Proceeds will be donated to Chelan VFW Post 6853. The parade and luncheon are offered in honor of those Military Veterans who have served our country.

Nov. 11 – Veterans Day Ceremony

MANSON – The Manson American Legion Post #108 will hold its annual Veterans Day celebration on Nov. 11, at 11 a.m., at the American Legion Park, across from the Manson Business Center. Manson Fire Chief Arnold Baker will bring Tower 51, an arial platform truck and raise a large flag above Wapato Way. There will be several short  speeches and the Lake Chelan Patriotic Singers will lead those in attendance in song. This is a great event to honor all veterans that have served or are serving in the United States Armed Services.
