Washington apples livestream

The Chelan Library will host the livestream event “Big Apples Big Business: How Washington Became the Apple State” on Wednesday, April 17 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Community Meeting room.

“Watch the livestream Humanities Washington virtual event with us in the library,” the event page states. “Why do so many apples in the grocery store look the same? Why do so many come from Washington? Explore how Washington became the top apple producing state in the country, and how, in the process, it transformed apples into an industrialized commodity.”
