Apple Cup Cafe Community 

Dinner: Nov. 25
CHELAN - After a year off, the Apple Cup Cafe Community Thanksgiving Dinner is returning. On Thursday, Nov. 25, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, they will be having a free dinner with all the works. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberries and so much more. They are looking for volunteers for both in house and drivers to deliver meals. Stop by the restaurant or call 682-5997 to get your name on the list. Monetary and food donations will be accepted benefiting the Chelan Food Bank.

Echo Ridge Loppet scheduled for 
February 5, 2022.
CHELAN - Season Passes and Lake Chelan Nordic Club memberships can now be purchased on the website at LakeChelanNordic.org.  Nordic Club membership purchase supports buying up-to-date grooming equipment; parts, maintenance and fuel for the grooming equipment; processing and mailing out season passes purchased online; and maintenance of the yurt and buildings used to store there grooming equipment. Please note that the cost of Forest Service season passes and day passes has increased to $100 for a season pass and $15 for a day pass (the last time the price was increased was 2008). Season pass purchase supports plowing and sanding the road; providing clean bathroom facilities; and the Nordic Club’s grooming services. Mark your calendar for the 2022 Echo Ridge Loppet on February 5, 2022.
 
Echo Valley Ski/Tube memberships 
 CHELAN - Echo Valley Ski/Tube Early Bird membership rates are in effect until November 26 for the 2021-22 ski and tubing season. Individual membership is $140. A family membership is $360. Family members must be immediate family defined by two parents plus children 20 years of age and under, living in the same home. Children 5 years and under are free. Holiday Care boxes for 
deployed soldiers 
NCW - The Cashmere American Legion Auxiliary #64 is looking for addresses of deployed soldiers to send holiday care boxes. If anyone has a loved one deployed or knows of one who would appreciate a care package from home and would share their address, please call Auxiliary President, Linda Ingraham, 509-679-0243.  A collection box for donations of snacks and  personal items will be at the Cashmere Post Office until the first week in December. This is our 4th annual event and is very important to support our veterans.
 
Chelan Museum: Nov. 24, 26-27 
2021 History Notes now available
CHELAN - It’s time to pick up this years History Note. Current 2021 members can come in and pick up the much anticipated 2021 History Notes from now until December 2. This would also be a good opportunity for those wishing to update their membership. After December 2, History Notes will be mailed to any current members and those who have updated their membership. November and December hours for the  Lake Chelan Museum will be 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Thursday-Saturday. They will be closed January and February of 2022, and open by appointment only. They will re-open March 1, 2022. Face masks are required for all those visiting the museum.
 
Glass recycle: Nov. 27
Volunteers needed - new hours in effect
CHELAN - Rotary of Lake Chelan 911 Glass Rescue is open on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m.-noon, at 23235 Highway 97A across from WalMart, weather permitting. They are charging a small fee per pound for glass drop-off. Buckets of the materials produced, sand and aggregate, will be available for purchase at $5 per 5-gallon bucket. City of Chelan residents are asked not to put glass into their blue recycle bins, but to bring it out on Saturday mornings. Their all-volunteer team relies on support from members of the community to make the operation run smoothly every week. They have tasks suitable for all ages and abilities. Food Bank  food distribution:

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Food Bank food giveaway is on Saturday and Tuesday, 9-10 a.m. Distribution is  drive-thru. They are located at 417 S. Bradley Street. The Food Bank is getting requests for pet food. Small bags of dog food are best. They can be dropped of at the Lake Chelan Mirror office, 310 E. Johnson Avenue in the tub outside.
 
Holiday Extravaganza: Nov. 27
Vendors sought
MANSON - The Manson Apple Blossom Festival Holiday Extravaganza will be held Saturday, Nov. 27, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Manson Grange. This is a fun event that gives you a chance to purchase many one-of-a-kind items that are great for Christmas gifts. Both floors of the Manson Grange Hall will be used to display arts and crafts from vendors. All proceeds will be used to help Manson Apple Blossom 2022. They will also have a Bake Sale and those proceeds will go to the Manson Grange. They ask everyone to wear a mask while inside the Grange to comply with Covid regulations. If you would like to be a vendor at the Holiday Extravaganza contact Linda Blessin at 509-687-5008. Table upstairs are $30 and $20 down stairs.
 
Manson Community Council elections: Dec.14
Two positions up for election, deadline to file Nov. 30
MANSON - The Manson Community Council will hold elections for two open positions on Tuesday, December 14. These positions are expiring on December 31, 2021. Any members of the community that live within the 98831-zip code and are currently registered Chelan County voters can run for office and vote in this election. Monthly meetings are held every 3rd Tuesday of each month and members will be expected to attend. These positions are very important to the future development of our community. Each position will require a 3-year commitment from January 1, 2022—December 31, 2024. Applications must be returned no later than 5 p.m. on November 30 to be considered for election.  Elections will held on Tuesday, December 14, between 12 noon and 7 p.m. at Blueberry Hills, located at 1315 Washington Street. Community members wishing to vote must be currently registered to vote in the 98831-zip code and have valid ID with them at time of voting.
