CHELAN — The once-per-year opportunity to choose from a wide range of homemade fruit pies is just around the corner at St. Andrew’s historic Parish Hall at 120 E. Woodin Avenue. The doors swing open and the aroma of fresh-baked pies  starts at 10 a.m.  on Saturday, August 19 and lasts until each succulent morsel is sold. According to experienced foodies, It is wise to be at the door early for best selection.
Prices for a whole pie are $25, with a generous slice at $5, and a la Mode is $6.
Marci Hale, pie sale coordinator said, “Every year, local residents in-the-know line up outside the parish hall door, ready and eager to choose among, apple, cherry, peach, berry and other in-season fruit pies from Chelan Valley orchards. It’s best to hurry in as they all go fast.”
