CHELAN — The Lake Chelan Valley is inviting residents and visitors alike to celebrate the region’s apple harvest with a week-long “Apple Walk,” running September 28 through October 5 at participating businesses in Chelan and Manson.
Hosted by the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce, the Apple Walk is designed as an educational stroll through the Valley’s apple heritage. With nearly 10,000 acres of orchards producing Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Gala, Fuji, Honeycrisp and more, the walk shines a light on both the fruit and the small businesses that support the community.
Participants can pick up a free “passport” at either Chamber office — 216 E Woodin Ave. in Chelan or 10 Wapato Point Parkway Unit D in Manson — then collect stamps by visiting local shops. Once 10 stamps are filled, the completed passport can be returned to either Chamber office by October 6 for entry into a prize drawing.
Stops on the walk include a variety of businesses, from Chelan Toys & Sweets, The Vine Coffee and Endless Orchard Hard-Pressed Cider in Chelan, to Chelan Ranch, Rootwood Cider Co. and VonHart Goods in Manson. Each business will highlight a different facet of the region’s apple story, blending agriculture with shopping, food, drink and family-friendly activities.
Last year’s Apple Walk drew strong participation, and with more locations on board this fall, organizers expect another lively turnout. Office hours for passport pickup are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Details, including the full list of participating businesses, are available at https://www.lakechelan.com/event/apple-walk-3/2025-09-28/.
