CHELAN — Campers hoping to stay at Beebe Bridge State Park in 2027 may need to begin planning sooner than usual as the park shifts to Washington State Parks’ rolling nine-month reservation system.
Reservations for the campground’s expected April 15, 2027, opening date will become available at 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 15. Campsites will continue to open for booking exactly nine months before the first night of each planned stay.
The change comes as Washington State Parks gradually assumes management of Beebe Bridge, which remains owned by Chelan PUD. The long-term transition is expected to be completed by 2028.
State Parks is encouraging campers to create an account at washington.goingtocamp.com before their preferred reservation date arrives. For popular weekends, visitors should log in before 7 a.m. and be prepared to reserve a site as soon as the booking window opens.
Campers who do not secure their preferred dates may also use the reservation website to request notifications when sites become available through cancellations.
The first major holiday reservation window will open later this summer. Campers seeking a site for Memorial Day weekend in 2027 should be prepared to book Aug. 28, 2026.
Reservations for the Fourth of July weekend will open Oct. 2, while Labor Day weekend reservations will become available Dec. 3.
Chelan PUD customers will continue to receive free day-use access to Beebe Bridge State Park, including use of the boat launch. Customers can apply for a day-use parking pass at chelanpud.org/parkingpass.
The management transition will also make State Parks discount programs available to Beebe Bridge visitors, including free or reduced-price camping opportunities for eligible foster families, senior citizens and disabled veterans.
Washington State Parks said the transition is also expected to provide expanded campground-management experience, park patrol and safety oversight.
Chelan PUD also owns Lincoln Rock, Daroga and Wenatchee Confluence state parks, which are managed in partnership with Washington State Parks.
For assistance with the reservation system, campers may contact the Washington State Parks Information Center at Information.Center@Parks.WA.Gov or call 360-902-8844.
