On Tuesday, June 27, at 2:18 p.m. a small brush fire was reported near the intersection of Highway150 and Chelan Falls Road in Chelan Falls. Chelan Fire & Rescue crews, with help from Douglas County 4, quickly brought the fire under control. The cause is under investigation. Later that day at 6:34 p.m., as a thunder and lightening storm, along with rain, moved thru the area, Chelan Fire & Rescue, responded to a fire at the top of Purtteman Gulch area. The fire was reported as a 10’ x 10’ fire in grass and sage and by 7:22 p.m. the fire was contained and units were back in service. On Friday evening, June 30, at 9:49 p.m. Manson, Chelan, Entiat and Douglas County #4 fire crews responded to a brush fire on Highway 150, just west of the Rocky Point area. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
