County Road Projects
Goodwin Road/Sunset Road Improvement Project: Two weeks into the Goodwin/Sunset Road Improvement Project, the contractor has finished up installation of water/sewer line on that eastern section of Sunset Road that was closed. Beginning on Monday, the full 30-day detour goes into place.
• The marked detour route from the Aplets Bridge is Aplets Way to South Division Street to Pioneer Avenue to Wescott Drive to Sunset Highway.
• The project’s western portion of Sunset Road will be closed from Mill Road to the Goodwin Road intersection. (You’ll be able to turn right off of Goodwin Road, not left.) The intersection of Goodwin Road and Evergreen Road also will be closed.
• A frontage travel lane for vehicles (marked by traffic cones) will be established parallel to Sunset Road and near the businesses there. It will be accessed only off of Mill Road. This travel lane is for customers and visitors to the businesses in that area.
Information about the project is on the project’s webpage.

General Maintenance
Maintenance plans may change with weather conditions or equipment difficulties. Visit the Public Works website, where the weekly road maintenance information is regularly updated.

On Monday, June 12 the crew finished up chip sealing in the Sleepy Hollow Heights area before moving to White River Road in the Leavenworth District on Tuesday, June 13.

 District 2 (Cashmere)
The crew will be helping with road preservation efforts.

 District 3 (Leavenworth)
The crew will be chip sealing on White River Road. Motorists should plan for one-lane, flagger-controlled traffic in the work zone. A full list of district roads that will be chip sealed is available online.

District 4 (Entiat)
The crew will be helping with road preservation efforts.

  District 5 (Chelan)
In the Manson area, the crew will be ditching, hand patching and brush cutting. If you come upon a county road crew crack sealing, plan for one-lane, flagger-controlled traffic. Lower your speeds through the work zone. The crew also will be brooming roads scheduled for chip sealing in July.
