CTL Place in Standings Last Season: Boys CTL League/District 6 Champs (4th year in a row); Girls were not able to field a complete team at League/Districts for a team score
The boys also won 4th at State last year with only the 2 boys (Joey and Carson) there as scorers.
Number of Returning Players: Three returning girls, six returning boys
Number of Seniors: Three girls, one boy
Number of All-Conference Returners:  Two girls, one boy
Notable Leading Returning Players (Statistically) along with their stats from last year if you have them:
Carson Clinton: 9th grade, 2nd at 2022 League/District, tied for 11th at 2022 State, 1st Team All-League; avg 78.4 for 18 holes;
Arabelle Finch:  11th grade, 3rd at 2022 League/District, tied for 40th at 2022 State, 1st Team All League; avg. 110.8
Kira Sandoval:  12th grade, 8th at 2022 League/District, 2nd Team All League; avg.119.8

John Ludwig:  11th grade, 13th at 2022 League/District; avg. 56.6
Malie Benson:  12th grade, keep hoping for a “break-out” year for her; avg. 127.2
Notable newcomers: Jailyn Reinhart, Justin Hardwick
Jailyn:  Was a contributor her freshman year at Cascade, but moved to Chelan, and we are very excited to have her as part of our team this year!
Justin:  Began last year and showed some very good potential, but ended up quitting part-way through the season; looking forward to seeing what he can do for us and hopefully fill in some holes in our team!
Notable player losses from last year along with their stats if you have them:
Joey Gasper:  CTL Player of the Year, 2 year All-League 1st Team; tied for 7th at state (no state 2020 or 2021); avg. 80.6 his senior year
Duke Nordby:  came in third on our team for us at League/Districts (7th overall) but chose not to come out this year (at least, so far)
 General Season Outlook
‘‘Omak will be the teams to beat, both in girls and boys competition in the CTL this year.  Last year their boys came in 3rd, 4th, 5th, 9th and 11th (and only one was a senior) at League/Districts.  Their girls team also came in at 2nd, 5th, 6th, 9th, 10th, and 14th, and I don’t believe any of them were a senior.
It will be a hard battle for us, but unless we have some injuries or bad breaks along the way, we will have enough players for a team score with both the boys and girls teams, and we will compete for the top team and individual spots at the League/District Championships and use as motivation the fact that our boys have won the title the last 4 times, and 9 of the last 12 (11 of the last 15), and our girls are hungry as they have not won the title since 2017 (when it was their 7th in a row and 9 of the last 11 years).
So, a tough road ahead of us (in terms of League Championships) to return to those places, but we’re excited for the snow to clear and to get out “at it” again and to see where we get to by the end of May,’’ said Einspahr
Coach’s Quote About the Upcoming Season:
‘‘I’m really looking forward to seeing where Carson C. will finish up this year…he has the potential to be on the level of another of our “famous” golfers, (Kelli Bowers), and, though probably much tougher on the boys side of things to win State four years in a row like Kelli did, I think the potential is there for four top-5 finishes for sure.  The question for the boys is whether anybody else on the team will join Carson in the upper ranks of the CTL.
Kira S. and Arabelle F. both have potential not only to make it to state, but to make it to the second day and get us a team score as well (at least two golfers from a team have to make the cut to the second day of state to get a team score) .  Throw in Malie B. and Jailyn R. and we have some real potential to cause some topsy-turvy on the girls side of things.’’
