September 27 recap
The Goats were on the road this evening for their second league match of the season. They traveled to Quincy to take on the Lady Jackrabbits.
The game started off slow for the Goats as they were still trying to get their feet under them. The Jackrabbits field is turf and makes the game much different than when they play on grass, but it didn’t take long for the Goats to gain control and start pressing the goal. By the 10th minute of play, the Goats had already taken a number of corner kicks. To open the game, junior Jailyn Reinhart took a corner kick and found Junior Maya Cowan for a volley goal.
The Goats continued to control the ball and were able to play through the middle to our outside with a beautiful assist from Senior Macie Cowan to Senior Olga Filipovic. Filipovic took two touches to send the ball past the keeper giving the Goats the 2-0 advantage. Seven minutes later, Filipovic would send a pass to Reinhart who would take a left footed shot past the Quincy keeper.
The Goats were able to control the ball most of the game, outshooting the Jackrabbits 12-1.  Freshmen Avari Barker was credited with another shutout along with her defense. They were able to hold the Jackrabbits to one shot in the game.
The Goats are now 4-4-1 this season and 1-1 in CTL action. The Goats had a bye Thursday, September 29, but return ed to CTL action at home on Tuesday, October 4 as they played on the Cascade Kodiaks.

Chelan loses to
Omak 39 - 20

September 30 recap
The Goats played with great effort, but made too many mistakes against a big and physical Omak team. The lead went back and forth for three quarters in a hard fought battle.
Ryan Allen and Grant Gogal ran the ball hard behind our hard working o-line. Defensively we had two fourth down stops in the first quarter that kept us in it.
Down 20 - 7 at halftime we came out and scored a TD on the first drive and then Ryan Allen picked off a pass on Omak’s next drive. Grant Gogal scored from six yards out to make it 20 - 20 in the third.
After that our penalties and their execution got to us.
I am very proud of  how hard we played against a strong Omak team. On to a road trip to Colfax.
GO GOATS.
