CHELAN — The City of Chelan is inviting residents to gather later this month for a 2026 State of the City Town Hall aimed at connecting the community with city leadership, partner agencies, and the organizations that serve Chelan year-round.

The event will take place Thursday, Jan. 22, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Campbell’s Resort, and will also be livestreamed through the city’s Public Meetings Portal. City officials say the evening is designed to give residents a clearer picture of Chelan’s strategic priorities, what’s planned for 2026, and how long-term planning is shaping decisions.

“This event is about connection and collaboration,” Mayor Erin McCardle said in the city’s announcement. “We want residents to understand where the City is headed, meet the people doing the work, and feel informed and engaged in the future of Chelan.”

The program will include updates on key initiatives and time for informal conversations before and after the main presentation. In addition to city leadership, representatives from several public agencies and community partners are expected to attend, including Chelan Fire & Rescue, Lake Chelan School District, North Central Washington Libraries, and the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, along with other regional partners. Those groups will be available to meet with residents, answer questions, and share information about their services.

The city is encouraging attendees to make an evening of it by inviting their neighbors and enjoying dinner at a downtown Chelan restaurant before or after the event, tying the community gathering to support for local businesses in the historic downtown core.

To make the event accessible to more residents, the town hall will be presented in both English and Spanish, with live Spanish interpretation available for those attending in person. The event is free and open to the public, and residents who cannot attend in person will be able to watch the program livestreamed online.

The 2026 State of the City Town Hall will be held Thursday, Jan. 22, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Campbell’s Resort, and will also be available online at cityofchelan.gov/meetings.
