Over 40 murals and sculptures
CHELAN -  The Lake Chelan Arts Council Outdoor Gallery brochure is available at the Lake Chelan and Manson Chambers of Commerce. Follow the Outdoor Gallery map to discover and enjoy over 40 murals and sculptures located throughout Chelan and Manson. For information about the Arts Council, local art events and artists, with links to  local and international art museums and other resources, their website, artinchelan.com, offers local artists and the community an opportunity to “Celebrate Art!”.
 
Veterans to be honored at area schools: Nov. 10
MANSON - Manson High School will have a Veterans Breakfast at 8 a.m. on November 10 in the Student Lounge. From there a few veterans will visit kids at the day care at North Shore Bible Church - 9:30-10 a.m. The kids are making cards thanking veterans. 
CHELAN - Morgen Owings Elementary (K-5th) in Chelan will honor veterans, 1:30-1:55 p.m. in the covered area on the east end of the school. Veterans may park in the Bus Zone on Woodin Avenue or by the covered area on Navarre Street.

Budget meetings / Board meeting
CHELAN - The Chelan Fire & Rescue Board of Commissioners will hold a public meeting to garner input from the public and discuss the Proposed 2022 Budget. This meetings will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 5-7 p.m. at Chelan Fire & Rescue Station 71 located at 232 E. Wapato Avenue. The regular Fire Commissioner meeting for November is scheduled for Wednesday, November 17, at 3 p.m.
 
Veterans’ Day Parade: Nov. 11
CHELAN - The Veterans’ Day Parade, put on by VFW Post 6853 will be held on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. (11th hour/11th Day/11th month). Bring your flag, be proud, and show your patriotism. Come celebrate with the Veterans’ of our community at Chelan’s annual Veterans’ Day Parade along Woodin Avenue. The parade will line up on Woodin Avenue by the U.S. Forest Service headquarters, come across the old bridge, go up Woodin Avenue, turn right onto Sanders Street and end at the Chelan Fire Station (corner of Sanders and Wapato). Veterans’ Day Luncheon: Nov. 11
Chelan District 7 Firefighters Association and Chelan Firefighters Local 4816 will prepare and serve free hamburgers and hotdogs to all veterans, currently serving military personnel and their immediate families, and first responders, at 11:30 a.m., immediately following the parade at the Chelan Fire Station, 232 E. Wapato Avenue. The public is also invited. A $5 donation is suggested, but not required. Proceeds will be donated to Chelan VFW Post #6853. Masks are required indoors unless seated. 
 
Glass recycle: Nov. 13
Volunteers needed - new hours in effect
CHELAN - Rotary of Lake Chelan 911 Glass Rescue is open on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m.-noon, at 23235 Highway 97A across from WalMart, weather permitting. They are charging a small fee per pound for glass drop-off. Buckets of the materials produced, sand and aggregate, will be available for purchase at $5 per 5-gallon bucket. City of Chelan residents are asked not to put glass into their blue recycle bins, but to bring it out on Saturday mornings. Their all-volunteer team relies on support from members of the community to make the operation run smoothly every week. They have tasks suitable for all ages and abilities. Food Bank  food distribution:

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Food Bank food giveaway is on Saturday and Tuesday, 9-10 a.m. Distribution is  drive-thru. They are located at 417 S. Bradley Street. The Food Bank is getting requests for pet food. Small bags of dog food are best. They can be dropped of at the Lake Chelan Mirror office, 310 E. Johnson Avenue in the tub outside.
Echo Valley Ski/Tube info session: 
Nov. 20
 CHELAN - On Saturday November 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. you can find Echo Valley Board members at the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce in downtown Chelan. Everyone is invited to come in and find out what your little ski and tubing hill is all about. Memberships will be available at the Early Bird price. Pictures will be taken for membership passes. Credit card, check or cash will be accepted. For more info email: info@skiechovalley.com Early Bird membership rates are in effect until November 26 for the 2021-22 ski and tubing season. Individual membership is $140. A family membership is $360. Family members must be immediate family defined by 2 parents plus children 20 years of age and under, living in the same home.
