CHELAN– The annual Lake Chelan Bach Fest is a packed eight-day celebration of music filled with concerts and musical events. This year it returns on July 11, and will run through July 18. Event start and end times vary across the days, but attendees can expect full days of music. Admission to events is free, but donations are encouraged to support the festival’s programing. Venues are both in and out of doors.
More than 100 performers will participate in the festival’s numerous daily events, which range from interactive morning activities for children to afternoon concerts, and evening performances at local wineries. Although the festival remains rooted in classical traditions, its programming has expanded to include Broadway favorites and other contemporary selections. Audiences can expect performances featuring strings, woodwinds, percussion, and piano and vocalists.
Returning as guest conductor to the Lake Chelan Bach Fest is Yaniv Attar, the Music Director of the Bellingham Symphony Orchestra, the Artistic Partner with Northwest Sinfonietta and the Rockford Symphony Orchestra. Attar has received multiple Sir Georg Solti Foundation awards and won the Duna Szimfonikus Conducting Competition in Budapest.
A complete schedule and additional information are available through the Lake Chelan Bach Fest at bachfest.org.
